Duties & Customs
the White Santorini
Orders shipped by tWS outside the EU may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. Local customs authorities in each destination country are responsible for customs clearence and, in some cases, applying charges and duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Who is liable?
It is international practice that the importer of a good is liable for any customs clearence charges that may occur. Therefore, should any additional charges for customs clearance be levied, they must be borne by the customer; tWS has no control over such charges.
When are charges generated?
Should any additional charges for customs clearance be levied, the customer will be notified once the shipment reaches the customer's country at the port of entry.
How can I estimate these charges?
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information.
Can customs clearance delay delivery?
In some cases yes. If customs clearance procedures are required, there may be delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
